SUMMARY OF POSITION:Springs Rescue Mission considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. Therefore, it is essential that all employees of SRM have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and subscribe to our Statement of Faith and Core Values. The person in this role is responsible for obtaining job placement for vocational training participants that are work ready.
In addition, for a period of at least 6 months post‑employment, this role works extensively to help those persons maintain employment. This role also engages the community to obtain employment opportunities for trainees.
- Works effectively with Vocational Training Manager in getting all trainees ready for work within any specified timelines utilizing required processes.
- Meets routinely with work ready trainees regarding finding employment.
- Meets with employed participants as directed regarding maintaining employment.
- Develops and maintains a network of community employment partners who are willing to provide training and employment opportunities.
- Collects and verifies data needed for vocational training and employment.
- Effectively collaborates with vocational trainers and other staff in relation to participants and their training.
- In this role, you may be required to drive on behalf of Springs Rescue Mission, so a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. To ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with state and federal law, SRM utilizes ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring. This means that you may be required to have MVR report run at any time to ensure you have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if utilized as driver.
- Attends all required meetings and reviews SRM emails regularly.
- Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
- 5+ years of vocational training experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Computer literate with sound proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, and Internet, including email.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a constant witness. Christ-centered and compassionate attitude in dealing with people including the homeless and faithfully upholds and exemplifies SRM’s Statement of Faith.
- Diplomacy, poise, and excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with staff and trainees in a pleasant and professional manner with ability to speak clearly and comfortably on the phone.
- Discretion and good judgement in dealing with sensitive information.
- Excellent time management and organization skills with proven ability to manage tasks to completion.
- Self‑motivated ability to organize and perform duties with minimal supervision; resourceful and proactive.
- Compassionate toward homeless, addicted, mentally ill and poor.
Occasionally = 1%-33%; frequently = 34%-66%; continuously = 67%-100%.

- Occasionally: must be able to lift to 20 pounds, bend or stretch.

Salary & benefits include the following: $19.00 - $22.00 DOE
Full benefits package to include: medical benefits with SRM paying 85% of the medical premium, voluntary Dental, Vision, Allstate Accident Plan, SRM-paid Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability, Life Insurance, and AD&D. Also offered are 8 paid holidays, 21 days of accruable PTO, paid “Soul Care Retreat” days (up to 4 depending upon availability), Pay‑on‑Demand, and a 403(b) retirement plan with SRM‑match after one (1) year, 100% vested beginning DOH;
benefits are subject to change based on reevaluation or benefit plan changes annually.
Benefits begin at 1st of the following month after completing a full 30 days of employment (e.g., start date 4 January 2024, benefits initiate 1 March 2024).
