The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interested in working part-time (0.5 FTE), and focused on excellent patient care.
Schedule:
part-time Nurse Practitioner to support weekend coverage with limited weekday availability (0.5 FTE).
This position is open for a minimum of 3 days and will remain open until a top candidate is identified. We are unable to support visa candidates for this position.
Responsibilities- Provides specialty healthcare services in both outpatient and acute care settings for specific populations with certain acute or chronic health conditions, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and care.
- Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions, including use of prescriptive authority and referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health and wellness, treatment options, and community resources. Promotes age- and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision-making, and the right to self-determination.
- Provides inpatient and/or outpatient care including preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative services, as well as critical care/intensive care medical management.
- Within the scope of the job, demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Epic EMR is utilized system-wide.
- Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility is required. Provider must apply for prescriptive authority as a condition of employment.
- Master's degree in Nursing and graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is required for hire and must be maintained.
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges.
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications commonly prescribed in practice.
- Eligible to provide services, reimbursable services, and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from HHS/OIG or GSA list.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- The pay range for this part-time (0.5 FTE) position is $49,337 - $74,006 annually. Pay is dependent on relevant experience. A productivity incentive may be offered.
- Relocation bonus up to $10,000, if eligible.
