Overview
Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner in Colorado Springs.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – to join our extremely busy oncology clinic. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, working closely with oncologists, nurses, and the care team to deliver timely, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
This environment is fast paced and high‑acuity, requiring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to efficiently manage a full and dynamic schedule.
Salary & BenefitsSalary Range: $110,000-$150,000. Pay is based on factors such as education, work experience, and certifications.

The posted salary range is broad; any offer will be based on a salary analysis that complies with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The analysis considers relevant experience, education, and certifications. While all offers comply with the Act, a top‑of‑range offer is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated.
- Perform procedures with minimal supervision.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide education.
- Promote wellness and recommend community resources.
- Incorporate evidence‑based research into clinical practice.
- Maintain knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
- Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation promptly.
- Provide case management for patients and families.
- Serve as a resource for nursing staff regarding clinical trial information.
- Provide palliative care for patients and families as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Nurse Practitioner:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. Minimum of 3 years of practice experience, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
• Physician Assistant:
Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA certification. Minimum of 3 years of practice experience, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in the practicing state. Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Clinical Nurse Specialist:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Minimum of 3 years of practice experience, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. AOCNS preferred (if applicable).
Current BLS/CPR certification required.
The physical demands of this job include full body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range are required.
Work EnvironmentExposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other typical conditions of an oncology/hematology clinic.
