LPN​/RN-Medication Nurse

LPN Position at Cedar Springs Hospital

To provide and assist in the direct patient care of adults, adolescents and children, under the supervision of the charge RN, as prescribed by the physician and the treatment team. Provides medical management, safety and program/crisis management for the patient populations. Would need to be able to work days and/or evenings and/or weekends/holidays. Individual must be an LPN. RN applicants for this role will be considered.

Typical schedule will be eight hour day or evening shifts working 8 hours 4-5 days per week. Knowledge of appropriate nursing interventions with patients. Ability to accurately administer medications and monitor for side effects. Ability to assist in implementing special treatment procedures, and supervise patients/residents in the program structure. Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients/residents of all ages and cognitive abilities.

Skill in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation. Requires organizational, verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Requires creativity, high energy and problem solving skills.
