Department: MHC 5E Progressive Care Unit

Work Schedule:

Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Nights

Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, dependent on experience

Position type:
Onsite only, no hybrid or remote options.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 6 months nursing (RN) experience.
  • BLS certification within 60 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
Responsibilities
  • Provide top of scope practice in direct patient care using the nursing process.
  • Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Prioritize wellness, patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Precept and educate new staff members and newcomers to UCHealth.
  • Embrace new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Contribute to safety and quality at the point of care.

Progressive Care Fellowship:
For experienced nurses new to Critical Care, a four‑phased orientation based on AACN’s ECCO® resources, including simulation, blocked learning, electronic orientation tracking, and knowledge verification.

  • Direct care in a technically complex environment.
  • Evidence‑based care models incorporating AACN's Synergy Model and specialty certification standards.
  • Clinical Educators support individualized specialty education and competency validation throughout orientation.
