Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

This full‑time position is part of the UCHealth Orthopedic Trauma Team. The role requires flexibility as department needs change, including rotational schedules covering weekdays, weekends, overnights, days, and combinations. First Assist experience is required;
Nurse Practitioners must hold RNFA certification. Experience with reductions/splitting and knowledge of EPIC EMR is required. Locations include Memorial Hospital Central, Printer’s Park Medical Plaza, and Memorial Hospital North.

Position Details
  • Full‑time position with rotational schedule weekdays, weekends, overnights, days, and combinations.
  • Flexibility as department needs change.
  • First Assist experience required.
  • RNFA certification required for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Experience with reductions/splitting required.
  • EPIC EMR system used system‑wide.
  • Locations:
    Memorial Hospital Central, Printer’s Park Medical Plaza, Memorial Hospital North.
Requirements for Physician Assistants
  • Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Unrestricted license to practice PA in Colorado.
  • PA‑C certification issued by NCCPA required for hire and to be maintained.
  • Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in practice.
  • Eligible to provide services, reimbursable services, and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
  • Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
  • Prescriptive authority as appropriate per medical staff service privileging process.
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
  • Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility required.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • NP certification issued by ANCC or AANPCB required for hire and to be maintained.
  • Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by state board or compact privileges under multi‑state Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges.
  • Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe all medications.
  • Eligible to provide services, reimbursable services, and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA.
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Exceptional Benefits
  • Pay range $119,600 – $156,790 annually, dependent on experience; productivity incentive possible.
  • Annual QVIP up to $10,000.
