Position Overview

Location:

UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora, CO. Department:
Medicine Health Services Unit. Full‑time, 0.9 FTE (72.00 hours per pay period, 2 weeks). Shift: Nights. Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, depending on experience. Night Shift Incentive Program pays $1,600 quarterly ($6,400 per year) to full‑time night‑shift RNs. This is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board‑approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years of experience).
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 6 months of RN experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training – BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a valid card on hand before the start date. The BLS/CPR card must remain current for at least 60 days after hire.

  • Provide top‑scope practice in direct patient care using the nursing process.
  • Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Model proficiency through precepting newcomers to healthcare and UCHealth.
  • Welcome new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Contribute to safe care and quality at the point of care.
  • Work in an acute care (Med‑Surg) unit with moderate to high patient acuity.
  • Apply AMSN’s core curriculum and specialty certification standards as part of evidence‑based care models.
  • Receive guidance from Clinical Educators for individualized specialty education and competency validation throughout orientation.
