Job Summary

Position: RN (Urgent Care – Emergency Department) – Onsite, PRN.

Location

UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO.

Department

SRSS So Region Ed Float Pool.

Work Schedule & Shift

PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift includes a combination of shifts.

Pay

$35.29 – $54.71 per hour (dependent on relevant experience).

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years’ experience.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
  • AWS ACLS and either PALS or ENPC upon hire.
  • TNCC or ATCN, and whichever of PALS or ENPC was not obtained at hire within 1 year.
  • Registered Nurse Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course.
  • Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses.
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course.
  • PALS Certification.
  • BLS – BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; BLS or CPR card must be valid through 60 days of hire.

  • Provides top‑of‑scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
  • Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice.
  • Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.
  • Welcomes new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment.
  • Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care.
  • Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including level 1 trauma designation.
  • Works under BCEN certification standards included in evidence‑based care models.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Educators to support individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
