Job Description:
The PRN Registered Nurse is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the direct patient care and program implementation for residents/patients in the acute care and residential programs. Assesses the patients/residents needs and coordinates/implements the delivery of quality nursing care, as prescribed by the Treatment Team / Physician. Provides safety and crisis management for the patient populations, and assures a safe and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience of nursing care and interventions with psychiatric patients.
- Knowledgeable of the psychotropic medications, potential side effects, and psychiatric diagnoses.
- Ability to direct others in the delivery of services, organize multiple tasks at one time, and problem solve situations under a fast paced environment.
- Ability to safely implement special treatment procedures.
- Ability to delegate responsibility to others and assure completion of shift duties.
- Skill in developing therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages, and work as a member of a treatment team.
Experience/
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Previous experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred. Minimum one-year inpatient psychiatric nursing experience is preferred for PRN Status. Current Colorado Registered Nurse (or Compact Licensure) license is required. Some positions may require a valid Colorado Driver's license. CPR certification is also required.
