What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced clinical care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a focus on compassionate, patient-first service
• Assist in cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting and first assisting when needed
• Manage ICU and surgical patient care across CVICU, floors, and clinics
• Conduct patient rounds and evaluations for surgical and ICU patients
• Participate in two full-day clinics weekly, seeing additional patients as needed
• Rotate through operating room coverage from Monday to Friday
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and multidisciplinary team members
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic labs and tests
• Develop, implement, and follow up on individualized care plans
• Prescribe medications and perform bedside procedures as appropriate
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of all patient interactions

What You Need
Required:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Colorado or eligible for licensure
• Experience in ICU, cardiovascular surgery, or related specialty
• Excellent clinical judgment and independent functioning under physician supervision
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Previous cardiothoracic or cardiovascular surgical experience
• Ability to thrive in a high-stress, dynamic environment
