Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking experienced Emergency Department Nurses to join our dynamic clinical team. This role requires floating within a designated zone and providing high-quality care to patients in multiple facilities located within the region.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in emergency settings.
• Monitoring patient status and responding to medical emergencies.
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to implement care plans.
• Conducting assessments and performing triage when necessary.
• Managing medications and IV fluids according to established protocols.
• Documenting patient information accurately using the electronic health record system.
• Participating in orientation and training programs to maintain up-to-date clinical skills.
• Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of two years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
• Familiarity with common emergency medications and drips.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Scheduling and requirements include:

• Work schedules will be released 4-6 weeks in advance and may include 12-hour shifts.
• Travelers are required to float within the assigned geographic zone, which includes multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius.
• Availability for orientation in-person during the initial week of employment.
• Must be able to fulfill holiday and weekend rotation requirements.
• Limited missed shifts are allowed throughout the contract period with advance notice.

This position involves working in varying environments, including facilities with different trauma levels. Nurses will be expected to adhere strictly to protocols and provide exceptional patient care across all settings.
