The Center at Cordera is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants to join their nursing team! Pay is dependent on experience!

The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing direct care to patients in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or designee.

• Prepare for new admissions by ensuring rooms are ready and welcome packets are prepared
• Greet new admissions and make them and their family members feel welcome and comfortable; set up new patients according to admission protocol
• Communicate with nursing staff and care team effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Prepare residents for therapy services, appointments, and meals
• Maintain resident rooms tidy and free of clutter
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Takes vitals and records them according to protocol
• Carry out restorative and rehabilitative programs, including self‑help and care
• Answer call lights and assist residents in a timely manner
• Administer services within the applicable scope of practice
• Ensure residents follow dietary allowances and report problem areas to the Nurse Supervisor
• Assist in arranging transportation for patients as appropriate
• Comply with patient rights in a skilled nursing facility and act respectfully and consistently with those rights
• Maintain Relias training and in‑service requirements
• Perform charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Chart notes in a professional and appropriate manner, timely, accurately and thoroughly reflecting care provided and patient response
• Take direction from charge staff

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Assistant certification for the applicable state
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active certification to practice as a CNA in the applicable state – must report any situations that may arise in which the certification could be affected
• Must pass a pre‑employment background check and drug test
