DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring open heart and/or endovascular experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details- Acute care setting in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with 16 total suites, 3 dedicated to CVOR
- Common cases include open heart, TAVR, open/endovascular, and thoracic procedures
- Uses Epic EMR
- Day shift, , with shift times negotiable
- Call requirements include one weekday per week and one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) in rotation with staff
- Call response time is 30 minutes, with an on-site call room available
- Floating to General OR required when no CVOR cases are scheduled, with possible float within Zone 1 facilities in extreme need
- One week of unit-specific orientation
- Active CO state or Compact (NLC) RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA); ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Open heart experience and/or endovascular experience required
- Scrubbing in required only to help hold the heart and assist with chest closure
- Driver's license copy required for consideration
- Provide direct patient care in the CVOR alongside a team of 8 OR techs
- Charge nurses and house supervisors provide unit support
- Hospital-provided scrubs (light blue) required
- Must reside within 60 miles of the facility
- Holiday call not required but preferred if available
