School Registered Nurse | Springs

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse who excels working independently and thrives in a dynamic K–12 setting. As a valued school nurse, you’ll play a key role managing daily health needs, collaborating with educators and staff, and making a lasting impact on students’ lives.

This contract-to-hire opportunity is not a 1:1 student assignment, but is a school-based nursing position with broad responsibility for the student body.

Start date is October 5, with interviews taking place this week. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week and providing weekends off.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Prior experience in school-based nursing or providing healthcare in a K–12 environment is highly preferred
• Confidence working autonomously and managing daily health room activities
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Familiarity with medication administration, emergency care, and chronic illness management in children
• Ability to educate students and staff on health, wellness, and safety protocols
• Compassionate, adaptable, and professional demeanor

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing day-to-day care for students, addressing injuries, illnesses, medication needs, and health emergencies
• Maintaining accurate health records and communicating pertinent information with families and school staff
• Implementing health plans for students with chronic conditions
• Delivering health education and promoting a safe school environment
• Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators to foster holistic student well‑being
