American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30, various days of the week
- Weekend shifts required per unit needs
- On-call requirements per unit needs
- Patient ratio of 1:2, with up to 4:1 for antepartum or postpartum patients
- Epic charting system required
- Float requirement to other units within the same service line
- May be required to float to a sister facility (Memorial Hospital North)
- Active RN license (CO or compact) required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM
- AWHONN Advanced and C-EFM certifications preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- Trauma Level I and community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with high-risk antepartum, high-risk delivery, and labor management required
- Skilled in fetal monitoring, including EFM and IUPC placement
- Experience with neonatal resuscitation and care in the delivery room
- Experience managing high-risk maternal conditions (e.g., pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, placenta previa)
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum units
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk deliveries
- Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Support newborn care including APGAR scoring and discharge teaching to parents
- Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
- RTO not permitted during specified blackout periods, including late 2026 holiday season
- Previous UCHealth employees must disclose prior employment for eligibility review
- Travelers who completed a full year on assignment must wait at least one year before being rebooked
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
