THRIFT STORE SHIFT SUPERVISOR

The Family Thrift Store Shift Supervisor presents an exciting opportunity for a result-orientated individual to support the mission of Life Network. We seek a self-starter, who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys multitasking, and embraces the physical aspects of receiving and processing donated good s.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Warmly greet donors and accept donations
• Ensure a positive donor experience
• Efficiently process and sort donated items
• Ensure donated items meet FTS standards for quality and suitability
• Price merchandise items appropriately and prepare for placement on the sales floor
• Provide excellent customer service to shoppers, offering assistance and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
• Provide clear direction and guidance to volunteers on behalf of the FTS Director
• Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, cooperation, and commitment to FTS goals
• Work on the sales floor, operate the cash register, and ensure adherence to opening and closing procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking shelves and tidying display areas
• Participation by all staff is required at Life Network’s major events

EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate
• 1 year of supervisory experience required
• Previous retail experience highly preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong advocate for the sanctity of life issues
• Possesses Christian testimony with evidence of Christian maturity in personal and professional life
• Active commitment to a local church
• A passion for the ministry accomplished through Life Network
• Demonstrates qualities of initiative, teamwork, and goal orientated
• Capable of supervising, leading, and engaging volunteers effectively, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment
• Enjoys interaction with the public, providing courteous and helpful service to donors and customers
• Ability and willingness to be flexible and adaptable in unpredictable situations
• Capable of lifting 50-75 lbs. and performing physical tasks associated with donation handling and store maintenance
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, able to meet transportation needs as required by the position

CLASSIFICATION

Full-time 40 hours per week. Pay range: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour. Scheduled hours are Monday through Saturday. Reports to the Thrift Store Manager.
