Armed Security Guard – Colorado Springs (Banking Site)

Compensation: $35/hr (1099 status)

Job Type: Contract (approximately 6 months)

We are seeking highly professional and dependable Armed Security Guards to provide security services at banking facilities in Colorado Springs. This role requires individuals with strong situational awareness, excellent judgment, and the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, customers, and assets. The ideal candidate is disciplined, skilled in de-escalation techniques, and capable of responding effectively to high-stakes situations.

• Maintain a visible armed security presence at assigned banking sites.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to deter criminal activity and ensure safety.
• Conduct patrols and surveillance of premises to detect and prevent potential threats.
• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies with appropriate action.
• Prioritize de-escalation as the first course of action in any situation.
• Escort staff and/or clients to vehicles when necessary.
• Enforce site policies, procedures, and security regulations.
• Prepare detailed incident and activity reports as required.
• Liaise with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Provide concierge-level service by greeting customers, holding doors, and directing them to the correct areas.
• Stand post for extended periods, including up to 10 consecutive hours.
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

• Valid Colorado Springs Guard Card with firearms endorsement (mandatory).
• Military or law enforcement background required.
• If not, must have minimum of 8 years of professional security experience, with at least 4 years in an armed capacity.
• Proficient in firearms handling and marksmanship, with regular firearms training/practice.
• Certified in Basic Lifesaver and trained/certified in TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) or ECCC (Emergency Casualty Care Course).
• Skilled in empty-handed defensive techniques.
• Strong communication, observation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure.
• Physical fitness and readiness to handle potentially high-stakes situations, including standing long hours.
• Flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation to travel to assigned locations in Colorado Springs.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and firearm qualification.

• Flat hourly rate of $35/hr (1099 status).
• Contract expected to last approximately 6 months.
