Essential Position Duties And Responsibilities

Provide a security presence throughout the CSCS campuses (both Springs and Woodland Park), including the CSCS off-site sports facilities and the affiliate Handprints Early Education Center
Patrol the interior and exterior facilities, patrol the campus grounds and provide overall parking lot security to control campus access. Identify and address all unauthorized vehicles and persons on campus
Attend and successfully complete CSCS introductory security training and all subsequent required trainings
Maintain flexibility of schedule to provide security for weekend and / or evening events as coordinated with the Supervisor
Communicate with leadership for all incidents and assist in identifying potential security threats
Assist in the training of school staff for security procedures during incidents, ie. Lockout, Lockdown, etc.
Support campus leadership for security and safety of students. Campus leadership and faculty retain responsibility for student behavior management
Must maintain high level of confidentiality
Able to remain calm in stressful situations
Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships
Commits and fully supports the missional and organizational standards including our Core Values, Mission Statement and Doctrinal Statement, and Statement of Faith and Christian Beliefs
Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Concealed Carry Card Holder or eligible to receive permit
Security experience preferred
Firearms experience / training certification preferred
Must maintain CSCS firearms / tactics proficiency standards on demand
Must have ability to run for pursuit and walk up to 10,000 steps per day for constant patrol
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to lift min 80lbs

Communicate professionally, able to identify and resolve problems effectively, attention to detail, ability to work both independently and with coworkers collaboratively, knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
