Satellite Communications; SATCOM Technician; onsite

• Provide technical services support for Satellite Terminal systems, including operation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Maintain connectivity to local and wide‑area networks and manage end‑to‑end telecommunications and circuit switching systems.
• Take corrective actions to ensure efficient operation of SATCOM equipment and monitor status and performance of transmission/receive systems.
• Respond rapidly to circuit outages, coordinating with distant end facilities and local users to restore communications services.
• Analyze system capabilities and performance, identify problems, and implement solutions.
• Perform other duties and assignments as required, including 24x7 shift work as determined by mission requirements.

• Excellent knowledge of SATCOM principles, operations, maintenance, and repair.
• Proficient with common SATCOM test equipment.
• Experience with TACLANE encryption devices and Crypto Device Loaders (e.g., SKLs).
• Experience in signal flow and end‑to‑end configuration diagrams for circuits.
• Knowledge of Network System Administration.
• Experience working with Microsoft operating systems.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers.
• Possession of a DoD 8140 certification at IA Level II or higher (Security+, Security CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISSP). Must maintain this certification for the full contract period.
• Active U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance (common security clearance).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Typical requirement: 5+ years of relevant experience in a STEM field or 3+ years with an advanced degree.

• Command and control system application development experience.
• Message translation software experience.
• Automated test and pipeline development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar project management tools.
• Strong understanding and application of Agile methodologies, including Scrum.
• Risk management experience and ability to develop mitigation strategies.
• Experience in requirements management and cross‑functional team leadership.
• Previous military satellite communications technician experience (US Navy ET NEC 1465, US Air Force AFSC 2E1X1, US Army MOS 315/255, US Marine Corps MOS 2827).
• HEMP hardening maintenance and testing experience.
