Learn more about ENSCO. Position Description ENSCO Inc. is a diverse engineering and technology company that provides engineering, science, and advanced technology solutions supporting mission success, safety, and security for government and commercial customers worldwide.

We are seeking an Senior Operations Planner to work directly with Government mission leaders responsible for generating, presenting, and sustaining forces for competition, crisis, and conflict in a contested space environment. The position turns strategic intent, evolving threats, supported-command demand, and operational feedback into executable campaign plans, force-readiness priorities, decision packages, and fielding actions.

The planner will connect current operations to future capability decisions by integrating mission planning, operational intelligence, cyber defense, training, logistics, infrastructure, continuity, and transition considerations. The focus is decision velocity: expose operational risk early, define measurable knowledge points, preserve viable options, and accelerate mission-ready capability while Government decision owners retain all formal authority.

Primary Responsibilities

· Lead integrated campaign planning. Turn commander-level intent and mission priorities into operational approaches, lines of effort, objectives, tasks, measures, decision points, and synchronized execution rhythms for competition, crisis, and conflict.

· Generate and present ready forces. Translate supported-command demand and threat intelligence into force-generation priorities, mission-specific preparation, tailored force packages, readiness actions, resource trade-offs, and risk recommendations.

· Synchronize joint and combined operations. Integrate mission planning, operational intelligence, cyber effects and defense, communications, logistics, training, protection, and partner contributions to create an operational edge.

· Build resilient mission execution. Develop and validate continuity concepts, Primary/Alternate/Contingency/Emergency options, critical-service dependencies, infrastructure hardening priorities, reconstitution approaches, and mission-assurance actions.

· Connect operations to capability decisions. Convert operational deficiencies and lessons into prioritized capability outcomes, acquisition decision inputs, focused learning events, early-use objectives, operational-acceptance criteria, and fielding priorities.

· Shape concepts and training. Advance concepts of employment, mission-type orders, tactics, training objectives, and exercise scenarios that reflect current threats, large-scale operations, and joint or combined mission threads.

· Drive evidence-backed decisions. Create decision papers, option analyses, risk and opportunity views, readiness scorecards, event roadmaps, and concise leader briefings centered on mission effect, time-to-field, integration complexity, and operational sustainability.

· Maintain a continuous learning loop. Capture exercise and operational feedback, assign action owners, measure outcomes, challenge unsupported assumptions, and move validated insights into planning, training, resourcing, and capability delivery.

· Lead cross-functional planning events. Set agendas, frame decisions, facilitate working groups and planning teams, resolve dependencies, document decisions, and maintain accountability through the next mission or fielding milestone.

· Develop the planning team. Review products, coach less-experienced planners, establish clear quality standards, and model disciplined initiative in a high-tempo mission…
