GSS - Programmatic Housing Coordinator

Goodwill of Colorado

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour.

Work Schedule:

1st Shift - 6:00am-4:30pm

2nd Shift - 2:30pm-1:00am

3rd Shift - 12:00am-10:30am

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for creating a calm, welcoming, and well-organized environment where individuals are treated with dignity, expectations are clearly communicated, and personal growth is encouraged. Campus Coordinators blend compassionate support with accountability, ensuring each interaction reflects respect, care, and consistency. Campus Coordinators rotate through key operational assignments, including:

  • Welcome Center (Single Point of Entry, intake, and access control)
  • Shelter operations
  • Day center operations
  • Campus patrol and guest engagement
  • Camera monitoring and documentation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conducting guest intake and maintaining accurate records.
  • Managing shelter assignments and guest movement throughout the campus.
  • Completing shift reports and operational documentation.
  • Monitoring security cameras and campus systems as assigned.
  • Submitting maintenance and IT work orders when needed.
  • Ensuring all documentation is objective, accurate, and professionally completed.
  • Maintaining operational excellence that supports mission effectiveness and builds trust.
  • Relational Engagement
  • Encourage and support guests while promoting accountability and personal responsibility.
  • Reinforce expectations with clarity, consistency, and respect.
  • Provide prayer and spiritual support when requested.
  • Facilitate timely referrals and warm handoffs to Program staff when appropriate, helping create an environment where growth and transformation can occur.
  • Support volunteers in their service and engagement with guests.
  • Attend all required meetings and regularly review SRM communications and email updates.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities may be modified, added, or removed at the discretion of management.

  • Consistently uphold campus, shelter, and program standards.
  • Address concerns proactively to prevent escalation and maintain a safe environment.
  • Establish and maintain healthy professional boundaries.
  • Implement guest removal procedures when necessary and promptly notify the Shift Lead.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to behavioral concerns and report significant incidents to the Shift Lead.
  • Complete accurate and timely incident reports and required documentation.
  • Conduct regular safety and security rounds throughout the campus.
  • Avoid unsafe physical intervention and follow established safety protocols.
  • Apply trauma-informed care principles while enforcing standards and addressing behavioral concerns.
  • Demonstrate emotional regulation, sound judgment, and professionalism under pressure.
  • Operational Stewardship

Campus Coordinators are expected to navigate complex situations with professionalism, composure, and consistency while supporting the overall mission and culture of the campus.

EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a Christian recovery, addiction recovery, or faith-based human services environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience in shelter services, recovery programs, behavioral health, hospitality, law enforcement, crisis response, or other mission-driven care environments is highly valued.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Candidates who identify as being in recovery must demonstrate a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety.
