Description
A. Work Functions
1) Supplier services shall include, but not be limited to,
a) Equipment installation, grounding (Verizon supplied), labeling, and removal/migration work.
b) Cable installation, mining, identifying, labeling, and testing.
c) Test/ turn up procedures including BERT, RFC, and enhanced RFC testing of Fiber Optics or Copper OSP circuits from Service Providers.
d) Assist with Data Service Operations Maintenance tickets as directed by DCIM or other Verizon authorized representative.
e) Any such other related Services as which may be ordered by Verizon including RMA staging.
f) Supplier shall have onsite technicians skilled and knowledgeable in DC powered equipment.
g) Supplier shall have onsite technicians skilled and knowledgeable in test, trace, and extend circuits.
2) All work performed by Supplier shall be performed under a NSS/NSR ticket provided by DCIM or other Verizon authorized representative.
3) All work performed by Supplier shall be documented within the Verizon tools when appropriate, such as:
a) Remedy (NSS/NSR)
b) Network Change Control (Kirke Request)
c) MOP
d) Tool for cable and equipment power and space management systems (IFP and/or Nlyte or similar asset repository).
4) All NSS/NSR tickets shall be completed within ten (10) days unless otherwise agreed to and communicated by Verizon.
5) Supplier shall perform cable, equipment, and cabinet installation Services in accordance with Verizon NNO Standards, which shall be made available upon request.
6) Supplier shall use ESD protection at all times when working on card or equipment replacement.
7) Installation Services shall include testing as described in Section B, Installation Expectations below.
8) Supplier is required to provide all test equipment necessary to complete the installation Services.
9) Prior to the start of any work in an NEC, a Kirke Request and a MOP must be issued and approved in accordance with the "Network Change Control Management Directive" number ME-ALL-DI-15-0000. Supplier vendor must have the Kirke Request number with them during any work.
10) As required in ME-ALL-DI-15-0000, all work activities performed in the NEC shall be performed during maintenance window hours (11:00 PM to 6:00 AM local time) unless specified otherwise by Verizon representatives.
a) Supplier shall only open cabinets or work on live equipment during maintenance window hours.
b) Prep work (non-network impacting) is allowed at any time.
c) Rough-in is allowed at 11:00 PM
d) Clean up can be completed between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM
e) Supplier shall lock DCS bays after work is completed.
B. Installation Expectations
1) Supplier shall provide labeling material to label all cables and equipment as per Verizon Wireless NNO Standards.
a) Labeling shall not lag installation by more than 3 days, and requires temporary tagging to ensure the correct labeling is applied.
b) Labeling shall include Supplier initials.
c) All cable labels must include source/destination location and patch panel location.
d) NSRs cannot be closed until Supplier has completed the labeling.
e) Label needs to have complete CLLI code.
2) Supplier to follow fiber and copper cabling quality standards outlined in Section D, Testing Requirements below.
