Position Overview
We are seeking a Structured Cabling Technician with at least 1 year of structured cabling experience
, specifically with fiber installation
. This role focuses heavily on pulling and installing pre-terminated fiber cabling
, with additional opportunities to support terminations, testing, and fiber work. Fiber termination and fusion splicing experience are strongly preferred but not required.

- Pull, dress, route, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) according to TIA/EIA standards
. - Assist with RJ45 terminations and patch panel work under guidance.
- Label cables and support cable identification and documentation.
- Perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks with supervision.
- Assist in cable testing using tools such as Fluke or EXFO testers.
- Support fiber cable handling, routing, and dressing; exposure to fiber work provided.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow direction from senior technicians and supervisors.
- Participate in construction-site tasks as needed.
- Minimum 1 year structured cabling experience
. - Experience installing or pulling fiber cabling
. - Basic understanding of:
- RJ45 terminations
- Punch-downs
- Color-coded wiring
- Experience using testing equipment such as Fluke meters.
- Experience building out racks, cabinets, and patch panels
. - Comfortable working in construction environments.
- Must not have worked in the META center within the past 6 months.
- Experience with fiber termination and fusion splicing
. - Active Top Secret security clearance (cannot be held during contract phase).
- Additional construction or telecommunications installation experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.81 – $38.81/hr.
