Utility Locate Technician

• Underground Utility Detection:
  Use company-provided locating equipment to locate and mark underground utilities (gas, electric, communications, etc.)
• Mapping & Documentation:
  Accurately document located utilities and job details using required systems and tools
• Communication & Coordination:
  Partner with construction crews, project managers, and other stakeholders to confirm scope, markings, and potential hazards
• Safety & Compliance:
  Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment
• Problem Solving:
  Identify and respond to field challenges quickly, prioritizing safe and accurate outcomes
• Mobile/Route Work:
  Travel between assigned job sites throughout the day and work outdoors in varying conditions

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid, unexpired Driver’s License
• 1+ year of utility locating and/or damage prevention experience
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to different job sites
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Physically able to walk, stand, bend, and lift as needed in outdoor field environments

Demonstrates expertise in underground utility detection and mapping, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while effectively communicating with construction teams and stakeholders. Capable of adapting to various outdoor conditions and addressing field challenges efficiently.
