Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Olgoonik Corporation seeks a skilled Carpenter to support construction projects for government and commercial clients. Responsibilities include framing, formwork, drywall, doors, windows, finishes, and repairs in accordance with plans, codes, and safety standards. The Carpenter will read blueprints, measure, cut, and assemble materials, install fixtures, and maintain tools and work areas. This role works closely with supervisors and trade partners to deliver quality, on-schedule projects while upholding Olgoonik's culture of safety, integrity, collaboration, and respect for community and clients.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and related materials for framing and finishes.
• Construct and set forms, walls, partitions, doors, windows, ceilings, and associated components.
• Install hardware, trim, cabinetry, and other finish carpentry elements.
• Ensure work complies with building codes, site standards, and project specifications.
• Operate and maintain hand and power carpentry tools safely and efficiently.
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies, including use of PPE and participation in safety meetings.
• Coordinate tasks with supervisors and other trades to meet schedule and quality requirements.
• Inspect completed work, perform repairs, and correct deficiencies as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store materials and equipment.
