Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and TWO (2) YEARS’ experience with youth
  • OR THIRTY (30) SEMESTER HOURS of college credit AND ONE (1) YEAR OF EXPERIENCE with youth
  • OR AN ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License (or ability to obtain within 30 days) with 5+ years of driving experience.
  • Pass FBI, CBI, and TRAILS record checks; flexibility in scheduling.
Job Summary

As a Youth Residential Direct Support Professional, you’ll teach life skills, assist with daily routines, and support youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with personalized growth plans, ensuring a safe/clean environment. You'll supervise activities, lead community outings, document progress, handle emergencies, and collaborate with your team to inspire growth and success. Pay Range: $18.67 – $22.35 an hour based off experience with youth and education.

Positions available
  • Sun 8am-8pm / Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur 3pm-10pm
  • Tues, wed, Thurs, Fri 3pm to 10pm then Sat 8am
    -8pm
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety and supervision of residents at home and in the community, assisting with daily routines and programs.
  • Perform case management, including crisis intervention, program development, and documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with families, schools, therapists, and other stakeholders.
  • Handle emergencies, administer medications, and maintain documentation (e.g., log notes, incident reports).
  • Support and model trauma-informed care, fostering a safe and healthy environment.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform administrative tasks, basic cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic math; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Crisis management certification (Safety Care) and ability to work effectively under pressure as part of a team.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Requires physical strength, endurance, and mobility for household tasks and behavioral interventions.
  • Must lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and maintain various postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing) for extended periods.
  • Ability to restrain, hold, or transport residents using quick body movements as needed.
  • Completion and maintenance of Safety Care certification (Crisis Intervention Training).
  • Must be physically present at assigned locations (home, school, or community).
  • Requires adequate hearing, vision, mental flexibility, emotional stability, and creativity to handle challenging situations.
