About the Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Engineer/Principal Software Engineer for the Sentinel program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Colorado Springs, CO and will provide SW development for the Integration and Test organization.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

• Software Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 1 Year with Master’s, 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• Principal Software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 3 Years with Master’s, 1 Year with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.

• US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team.
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Principles
• Experience programming in object oriented (C++, Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) languages (SysML/UML) and concepts

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
• Experience with Cameo, developing software architecture
• Experience with UI design and development, or experience Interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation
• Familiar with Systems Engineering processes

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $

Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
