BMC (Associate, Experienced or Senior)
Location:
Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.
Support the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). The role focuses on developing, integrating, and testing Java-based mathematical algorithms for C2
BMC operational software applications.
- Work with industry partners in designing, developing, and testing Java-based mathematical algorithms for C2
BMC operational software applications. - Support full software development lifecycle, including generating design artifacts, implementing software changes, reviewing design and code, testing, and resolving issues.
- Actively participate in agile planning and execution using established processes.
- Develop software requirements and architecture for MDS systems.
- Develop, select, tailor, and deploy integration and test processes, tools, and metrics.
- Execute and document integration and test activities and events.
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- 1+ years of experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) or other software architecture and design modeling techniques.
- 1+ years of experience with Agile software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience using Git in a Linux environment.
- 2+ years of experience with Java.
- 1+ years of experience with weapon system use-cases.
- Ability to implement MATLAB based algorithms into Java-based software.
- Strong Java (J2EE/Java Spring) development experience.
- Experience with Eclipse, Maven, Gradle, and/or microservices in software development.
- Experience in software performance optimization.
- Experience using automated unit testing frameworks.
- Security+ or equivalent certification within 60 days of starting.
- Missile defense domain experience, but not required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving skills, including reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and recommending and developing solutions.
Occasional travel may be required (less than 10).
Security ClearanceMust be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (Secret). U.S. Citizenship required.
Security & AccessPosition may require access to a U.S. Department of Defense facility. Background investigation required.

Pay and BenefitsCompetitive base pay plus variable compensation. Summary Pay Range for Associate level: $99,450 - $134,550. Summary Pay Range for Experienced level: $126,650 - $171,350. Summary Pay Range for Senior level: $160,650 - $217,350.
