Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer located in Roy, UT;
Colorado Springs, CO; or Huntsville, AL to support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.
Responsibilities include supporting one or more software development Scrum teams on the GBSD or other SDS programs, focusing on ensuring process execution and efficiencies in the development, testing, and release of software deliverables.
Roles and responsibilities:- Support individual scrum/sprint teams by attending meetings, creating Jira dashboard tools to monitor progress and execution efficiency, and offering suggestions for improvement to software leadership.
- Understand process health, progress and stability metrics as required.
- Become fluent in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jazz, DOORS, or others as needed.
- Be a constructive advocate for Mission Assurance and articulate our Value Proposition to stakeholders.
- Ensure GBSD software complies with industry guidelines and contractual requirements for development of military weapon systems, maintaining a focus on employee engagement, teaming, collaboration, process improvement, rework reduction, and continuous improvement.

- Standard 9/80 work schedule (nine-hour day Monday through Thursday, alternate Fridays off)
Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $. The above range is a guideline; salary also considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and skills.
Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Deputy positions may qualify for long-term incentives.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related experience;
Master's degree acceptable. - Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
- Experience using metrics for process health and performance monitoring.
- Experience in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Experience evaluating, tracing, and analyzing requirements.
- Software development lifecycle experience.
- Experience developing and implementing Software Quality Assurance plans.
- Experience in Missile Systems/Sub-Systems design, construction, or sustainment.
- Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for a large program/supplier-base.
- Experience in Peer Reviews and Code Reviews.
- Experience in software build testing, qualification, and integration and test.
- Ability to read and understand code in C++, Java, Python.
- Ability to work with enterprise-wide systems and software problem tracking tools (e.g., SAP, DOORs, Jira, Confluence).
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology.
