SAIC is seeking rising juniors or seniors to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2026. GMASS has Software Engineering internship positions available. These interns will be performing software support using C++ or Linux to resolve coding errors, assist in developing and updating code. All of the positions under this job requisition will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

• Performs Software Engineering activities including requirements definition, system analysis, scripting to automate processes, design, and systems integration.
• Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to review and resolve coding errors and develop new code.
• Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents to develop specifications.
• Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK.
• Investigates anomalies and supports multidisciplinary teams for resolution.

• Software systems engineering and coding (Python, Java, C, C++).
• Web development (Jascript, html) and Database (SQL).
• System data structures and algorithms (sorting, linked lists, arrays, trees).
• Debugging tools.
• Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence).
• Gitlab/Git Command Line.

• Pursuit of BS in a STEM related degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
• Basic understanding of C++ and/or Linux.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
