Raft () is a U.S.

-based defense tech company dedicated to empowering military and government agencies with cutting‑edge AI/ML and data solutions.

This is a U.S. based position requiring U.S. citizenship. The role is focused on building a data‑centric product using open‑source technologies such as Kafka, Trino, DuckDB, and Superset. You will work on both backend and frontend to deliver end‑to‑end features that enable users to tell a data story through the product.

• 8+ years experience building RESTful APIs in Go (preferred), Java, Python, Rust, or Scala
• Strong knowledge of software design and architecture
• Experience with large‑scale relational and non‑relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch for low‑latency requirements
• Experience building and releasing software in cloud‑native environments
• Experience using package managers such as Maven, Gradle, NPM
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including containerization and distributed cluster management
• Experience working with AI coding assistants
• Demonstrated ability to take on large responsibilities and own complex project life cycles
• STEM background or relevant industry experience
• Ability to obtain Security+ certification within 90 days of employment

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience with Delta Lake
• Experience with AWS or Azure

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance

• Hybrid in Colorado Springs, CO
• May require up to 35% travel

US $180,000 – US $230,000, determined based on experience and skills.
