Position: Test Engineer I | Cleared | Colorado Springs, CO

Job Summary

Test Engineer supporting North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The position is filled onsite at Amentum Downtown Building, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and evaluation of engineering software applications characterized by complex functionalities, stringent operational constraints, and sophisticated input/output configurations.
  • Develop test plans, test procedures, and test reports.
  • Provide diagnostic support to correct processing anomalies in complex computer programs.
  • Assist in the preparation of specifications and other activities that require knowledge of programming principles and techniques.
  • Interpret requirements and perform analyses to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with Agile and Project teams to refine Acceptance and Verification Criteria and optimize software/system test approaches.
  • Lead Agile and Project teams in the development and implementation of testing strategies for software/systems.
  • Attend and participate in Agile and Project meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Integrated Project Teams).
Skills and Experience
  • Clearance Requirements:
    Secret
  • 3+ years of directly related experience.
  • 3+ years of general work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in software/systems testing and verification, or in the ITW/AA mission domain.
  • BS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline desired.
  • Experience with Agile Development methodologies desired.
  • Experience in Test‑Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments desired.
  • 1+ year of experience in the development and use of automated testing of software/systems desired.
Physical Demands
  • Remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Operate a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment using hands and fingers.
  • Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and electronically.
  • Occasionally move around the office to access files, equipment, and meeting spaces.
  • Lift and/or move up to 15 pounds as needed.
  • Maintain specific vision abilities, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
