Senior Software Engineer

K ’s National Security Solutions team provides high‑end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. This role will work on‑site at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO, supporting satellite control and mission operations for our national security mission partners.

• Maintain software that establishes connections for status & control of ground equipment.
• Provide Java software development and support across all phases of the software life cycle.
• Maintain software for scheduling on‑orbit contacts and executing orbit calculations.
• Write software supporting launch operations, including trajectory calculations for SpaceX and ULA vendors.
• Provide Java and Spring Boot development support for team members.
• Develop React‑based user interfaces for operator interaction.
• Assist in writing microservices that communicate with vendor interfaces for data processing.
• Deploy new containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Extend and enhance existing capabilities or create new ones in response to customer requests.

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Undergraduate degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering (development/coding) experience.
• Proficiency with Java programming language.
• Experience with the Spring Boot framework or comparable technologies.
• Ability to interface effectively with users, customers, management, and engineering personnel.

• Experience with Java IDEs and Git Lab or similar CI/CD tools.

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with Ansible automation scripting.

Location:

On‑site, Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO. Travel:
Minimal.

Hours:

1st shift, 40 hours per week.

$127,000 – $190,000 USD annually, based on experience and internal parity.
