Cross Pillar Integration Engineer – Digital Innovation Division (DID)
The Digital Innovation Division (DID) leads the Aerospace Corporation’s digital transformation. We seek an experienced, mission‑focused Cross Pillar Integration Engineer to bridge modern Modeling & Simulation (M&S) software, enterprise Data Management Platforms (DMP), and mission data, creating agentic, data‑driven simulation capabilities across multiple space‑mission programs.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data pipelines and integration services connecting ASOT platforms to modernized M&S software.
- Ensure data quality, validation, and traceability while enabling centralized data consumption across mission programs.
- Develop deep understanding of customer mission operations to translate needs into technical data specifications and integration solutions.
- Provide hands‑on technical support for M&S software tools, including configuration, customization, troubleshooting, simulation execution support, and results validation.
- Build and maintain data transformation logic and adapters to convert enterprise data formats into simulation‑ready representations.
- Support migration of embedded legacy data to modern Data Management platforms, ensuring integrity and reusable centralization.
- Act as technical liaison among data management teams, M&S developers, mission analysts, and stakeholders across diverse classified programs.
- Develop scripts, utilities, and automation tools to streamline data preparation, ingestion, post‑processing workflows, and optimize schemas for M&S workloads.
- Collaborate with multiple customer programs simultaneously, adapting integration approaches to meet varying operational timelines and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience, especially in DE, M&S, and data.
- Experience with simulation design technologies such as HLA, DIS, TENA, Protobuf, and Apache Kafka.
- Hands‑on experience designing modern software architectures.
- Background in cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Proficiency in Python or C++.
Experience with SQL and No
SQL databases, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, and web services. - Experience leveraging software factories, Dev Sec Ops , and CI/CD technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical talent.
- Strong communication skills through technical writing and presentations.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for corporate or customer sites.
- Advanced degree in STEM or related discipline.
- 12+ years of senior engineering experience.
- Experience in space domain modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Leadership of large‑scale software development and integration projects.
- Direct experience with cloud, data, AI service providers, or platforms.
- Experience with DoD, NNSA, or civil space missions.
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and ASOT principles.
- Experience with AI technologies and practices.
- Current DoD TS and SSBI/SCI Clearance.
- Position requires obtaining and maintaining a security clearance issued by the U.S. government.
- U.S. citizenship required to obtain a clearance.
- Current DoD TS and SSBI/SCI Clearance is a plus.
