Associate Dev Ops Engineer – Colorado Springs, CO

Join K ’s National Security Solutions team to work on prototype projects supporting the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory’s missions. We build cloud technologies with Dev Ops practices, creating high‑impact solutions for national security.

• Build and deploy Helm charts to Kubernetes clusters
• Develop Git Lab CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, publish, and deploy containers and Helm charts
• Troubleshoot failed deployments and pipelines
• Containerize custom applications
• Design high‑level architecture for cloud‑native networks and systems
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support a variety of tech stacks

• U.S. citizens with active TS/SCI clearance
• B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent degree + relevant experience/certification)
• Ability to build Helm charts and Kubernetes API objects
• Write Dockerfiles and containerize applications
• Experience with GNU/Linux commands, shell navigation, and Git version control
• Capability to research and solve complex technical problems independently

• Cloud certifications (AWS CCP, AWS CSA, Azure SAE, Azure AA)
• Experience building pipelines, especially with Git Lab
• Experience delivering cloud‑native applications
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services
• Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC flows, or Key Cloak
• Experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform
• Experience deploying to air‑gapped networks
• Experience with cert‑manager, OpenSSL, and public key infrastructure
• Experience with event streaming services, especially Kafka

Basic compensation: $76,700 – $115,000 (Colorado Springs only). Base salary reflects the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

Additional compensation: bonuses, commissions, sign‑on bonus, relocation benefits, short‑term incentives, long‑term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance, per internal policy.
