Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2
BMC) Regional team, is constantly engineering, developing and integrating new capabilities for the U.S. Missile Defense System, protecting both the United States and its allies. This large, fast paced team is composed of many small agile teams working together in a dynamic environment with a common mission to develop and deploy leading‑edge missile defense technologies.
The C2
BMC-Regional Application Agile Release Train is seeking a Software Systems Engineer that will thrive in a fast paced team environment in the design, development, and testing of the C2
BMC applications.
- Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
- Systems Engineering support for team that maintains, debugs and configures related software products.
- Work from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications.
- Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
- Work with the SEIT organization to decompose system requirements to good software level requirements.
- Work with the SEIT organization to drive system use cases, CONOPS, and sequences.
- Work with the SEIT organization to develop / update system external interfaces.

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
Basic Qualifications- Generally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
- In-depth understanding of systems engineering process and principles.
- Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
- Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions.
- Working knowledge of system engineering artifacts (e.g. specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.).
- Experience with developing large, complex systems.
- Software development experience developing applications.
- Automated test and pipeline development experience desired.
- Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
- Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Experience with performance modeling.
- Experience with build management tools and pipelines.
- Prior C2
BMC experience. - Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
