Position: Fast Track Work Crew Leader

Description

Boulder County Community Services Department is seeking to hire a Fast Track Work Crew Leader. Duties will include: directing and managing work projects for non-profit community agencies; transporting offenders safely to and from work site in County van; communicating with work sites and participants in advance to confirm registration and site expectations; recording attendance data and documentation; outreach to prospective sites for Fast Track Crews;

maintaining a safe work environment by providing proper instructions, anticipating unsafe circumstances, supervising use of safety equipment; working with crew when needed to complete assigned projects; maintaining records of attendance and hours of completion; documenting and reporting behavior problems and incidents involving injury; and performing related duties as required. This is an hourly, non-benefited position that will work 4-12 hours per week, Saturday 7:45am – 4:15pm and Monday – Friday with flexible hours.

This position will work remote and out of 1777 6th St., Boulder; and 1035 Kimbark St., Longmont. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime). Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Hiring Salary Range: $25.00 – $29.80 Hourly

Tentative Hiring Timeline:

  • Language Proficiency Test:
    Week of March 9th
  • Reference Check:
    Week of March 2nd

Examples of Duties
  • Confirm site expectations and attendees for the week
  • Transport participants to work sites
  • Communicate instructions to crew
  • Distribute tools to the participants
  • Check progress on tasks and oversee their completion
  • Verify that tasks are done well and things were put back in order or equipment/tools returned
  • Verify no clients left on sites
  • Return all of the participants after all work is completed
  • Record attendance from crews into Unify database
  • Scan and save attendance sheets
  • Contact sites for future sign-ups
  • Performs related work, as required
  • May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of:

Supplemental Information PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Additional compensation will be provided based on the use of bilingual skills.
  • Six months of crew supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others as a team, agencies and the public
