Brief description:

The Senior Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities. This is an important role within a finance department of four employees and offers diverse tasks each month.

This role offers significant learning and exposure to multiple facets of accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-end close process
• Bank reconciliations
• Maintain Excel schedules for accounts such as prepaids and deposits
• Vendor contact and management
• Monitor exceptions that occur with the AI tool used for AP
• Fixed assets - maintain the schedules and entries monthly for equipment utilization
• Journal entries for labor allocations to jobs
• Intercompany accounting and consolidations a plus
• Administer the credit card program and import card activity into the accounting system
• Assist the Controller with year-end audit request

Requirements include:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to query and review data sets
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in a construction environment a plus
• Experience with Viewpoint or Pro Contractor software a plus

Compensation and Benefits include:

• Salary range of $65,000 -$80,000 per year depending on skills and experience
