Overview
The Gogo Senior Accountant is a key member of the Accounting team responsible for supporting an accurate and timely close process and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable reporting requirements. This role performs a broad range of accounting activities with a strong focus on revenue recognition under ASC 606, cost of service accruals, monthly close support, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities- Manage revenue recognition accounting for service and equipment revenue across domestic and international operations
- Prepare, record, and maintain supporting documentation for journal entries
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate general ledger support
- Identify, investigate, and resolve account reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand business processes and support the accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
- Support month‑end and year‑end close activities while meeting established deadlines
- Provide guidance and review support for less experienced team members as needed
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Support accounting projects and ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Maintain compliance with internal control and SOX requirements
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance;
Accounting preferred - CPA or similar professional certification preferred
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems;
Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus - Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with internal controls
- Ability to research and apply accounting guidance relevant to the business
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage changing priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Base Pay: 80,000. USD Annual. Short‑Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% of Annualized Base Pay. Eligible for Incentive Stock Program:
