We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions while also overseeing daily office operations.
Position OverviewThis hands-on role combines strong accounting leadership with office management responsibilities. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing job costing, and ensuring smooth administrative operations in our multi-entity construction business.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management- Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple entities, including month-end close and financial reporting.
- Manage job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain internal controls.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Support external audits, tax preparation, and banking relationships.
- Oversee daily office operations and administrative support.
- Manage office supplies, equipment, facilities, and vendor relationships.
- Supervise administrative staff and coordinate office procedures.
- Handle HR administrative tasks including onboarding paperwork, benefits support, and record maintenance.
- Provide administrative support to project teams and field operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Required: Experience with job costing and WIP schedules in a project-based environment.
- Required: Comfort managing accounting for multiple entities.
- Required: Prior office management or administrative leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Preferred: Construction industry experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books, Sage, or similar construction systems) and Microsoft Office.
