Accounting Clerk / AP-AR Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / AP-AR Specialist to join a finance team during an exciting transitional period. This role will work closely with the Senior Accountant and support key accounting functions, including high-volume accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, payroll journal entries, data management, and month-end accounting activities.

- This role goes beyond traditional invoice processing and provides experience with:

- Process approximately 100–200 invoices per week, building valuable experience in a fast-paced accounting environment

- Utilize Excel to manage, upload, and maintain accounting data

Responsibilities:
- Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, averaging 100–200 invoices per week
- Enter and maintain accounts receivable records, including billing and sales tax-related transactions
- Prepare and enter payroll-related journal entries
- Utilize Excel to create, manage, and upload accounting data into the Enterprise ERP system
- Perform accurate and timely data entry while ensuring data integrity
- Assist with month-end close activities and journal entry preparation
- Review, reconcile, and maintain accounting records as needed
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant and Finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial processing
- Follow established accounting procedures and quickly adapt to new processes and system updates
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting Clerk, or a similar accounting support role
- Strong data entry, organizational, and administrative skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with spreadsheets and templates
- Experience using ERP or accounting software systems
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience preparing and entering payroll journal entries
- Experience handling sales tax transactions
- Experience working within an Enterprise ERP environment
- Government, municipal, or public-sector accounting experience
- Additional accounting coursework or certifications are a plus

This is a Contract position based out of Black Hawk, CO.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
