A/P Intern
The Accounts Payable (A/P) Intern provides temporary support to the Accounting team under the direction of the Controller. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with accounts payable processing, including invoice entry, payment support, and maintaining accurate records. The intern will also provide general accounting support as needed and gain hands-on experience with accounting processes and ERP systems. This temporary position is expected to continue through approximately the end of October based on business needs.

- Process accounts payable invoices for the Connections contract accurately and timely.
- Enter invoices into the ERP system following established procedures.
- Verify invoice information for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain organized electronic accounting records.
- Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies under the guidance of the Accounting team.
- Support weekly payment processing activities as assigned.
- Provide backup support for routine accounts payable functions.
- Assist other Accounting team members with administrative and accounting tasks as workload requires.
- Follow documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accounts payable processing.
- Learn and apply company accounting processes and internal controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn new software systems and follow documented procedures.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
Work Schedule:
This is a temporary, hourly position with a flexible schedule based on business needs. Weekly hours may vary depending on workload and project demands and are not expected to average 40 hours per week.
