Senior Tax Preparer

• Review general ledgers and financial statements and identify discrepancies or necessary adjustments
• Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns, including:
  • Form 1040 – Individuals
  • Form 1041 – Trusts & Estates
  • Form 1065 – Partnerships
  • Form 1120-S – S Corporations
  • Form 1120 – C Corporations
• Prepare supporting schedules, tax payments, and related reports
• Identify potential tax issues and opportunities
• Maintain accurate electronic records and document concerns or deficiencies
• Manage multiple client projects and deadlines during tax season
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Help us continually improve the quality and efficiency of our tax preparation process

• Strong experience preparing individual, business, and trust tax returns
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax procedures
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member
• Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced tax-season environment
• Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Professional and comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues
• Experience with Lacerte
• Experience with Quick Books Online and Quick Books Desktop
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office, email, and digital document management
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA)

Scheduling Expectations: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, in-person.

Overtime is required during tax season (January through April 15).
