Job Summary

The Office of the Registrar at CU Boulder invites applications for a Scheduling & Curriculum Coordinator! This position oversees and assists departments with their class schedule build out each semester along with other class-related processes. This position also assists with preparing class schedules each semester, including reviewing and updating data to reflect class changes, and completes work with a high degree of detail orientation and accuracy.

This role determines appropriate usage for the scheduling of classroom space for academic purposes, including specialized assignments for defined groups of classes, and trains and advises department scheduling liaisons on all phases of their work with the semester class schedule. The position requires a high level of communication and collaboration with departmental scheduling liaisons and other campus partners, and knowledge and expertise of the data structure in Campus Solutions, 25

Live, CLSS, and CIM for Courses.

This position reviews and processes reservation requests for evening and midterm exams, final exams, summer academic programs, one-time academic‑related reservations, and coordinates with other constituents on room requests. The position also analyzes information in Course Inventory Management (CIM) for Courses, makes appropriate course updates when applicable, and advises on course data impacts to class sections.

This position requires a commitment to the work team and to a culture of information sharing and collaboration, and someone who is a self‑starter with the ability to work independently and proactively.

This position requires knowledge and application of course structure, as well as interpretation and application of Boulder campus academic and administrative policies, regulations regarding relevant state, accreditation and institutional policies, higher education practices, academic instruction guidance, academic class and room scheduling practices, and particular needs or constraints specific to specialized needs.

This position may be required to work outside of the regular university business hours at times.

What Your

Key Responsibilities Will BeClass Scheduling
  • Represent the Academic Scheduling unit of the Office of the Registrar on a range of complex scheduling, operational, and administrative issues related to academic course offerings.
  • Work with constituents to support scheduling processes and accurate class set up.
  • Provide enhanced guidance for specialized needs related to program support, pedagogical requirements, and campus initiatives.
  • Develop a clear understanding of technology requirements and other specialized space needs to ensure effective assignment of classroom spaces. Maximize space utilization and ensure compliance with space policies.
  • Make appropriate updates to class sections and instruct liaisons on their work.
  • Provide initial overall training and ongoing guidance to the academic department liaisons. Answer liaison questions and initiate deeper investigation to find answers to uncommon requests.
  • Answer Academic Scheduling e‑mail, respond to requests and questions related to general course and class inquiries within stated service level agreements.
