Lot Technician

The Lot Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization and appearance of the dealership's lot, ensuring vehicles are properly organized, cleaned, and prepared for display. This position supports the sales department by ensuring a visually appealing and organized lot, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain the dealership's lot, ensuring vehicles are parked in designated areas and properly arranged for display.
  • Clean and detail vehicles to ensure they are presented in the best possible condition for customers.
  • Assist in the movement of vehicles as needed, including driving vehicles to and from service and detailing areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
  • Assist the sales team with vehicle presentations and test drives as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and dealership policies.
  • Support other departments, such as service and finance, as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  • Park all new and used vehicles in assigned areas.
  • Monitor that lot is full at all times-fill holes.
  • Making sure all new delivered vehicles are parked together to allow for employee parking.
  • Dealer trades when necessary.
  • Ensure showroom is always full of clean new cars for display.
  • Regularly inspect both new and used vehicles on the lot are properly displayed and meet dealerships standards for cleanliness
  • Works with management to ensure all EV units are charged.
  • Demonstrate a professional appearance and code of conduct.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and detailing techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
