Location:

Broomfield, CO

• Conduct theoretical research into quantum algorithms and quantum error correction.
• Work with interdisciplinary theory, software, and hardware teams to implement ideas on the world’s most powerful quantum computers.
• Advise architecture and hardware teams to aid design of applications and architectures for trapped‑ion quantum processors.

• PhD completed prior to start date.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience (PhD inclusive).
• U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, permanent resident, green card holder, or granted asylum/refugee status.
• Must not be a People's Republic of China or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.

• PhD in a field relevant to quantum computing strongly preferred.
• Record of research or publications strongly preferred.
• Additional post‑doctoral research experience beyond a PhD.
• Formal background in theoretical physics, math, or computer science with a proven track record of solving challenging problems.
• Experience with high-performance computing for scientific applications.
• Experience working with quantum computing hardware.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

The pay range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
