The Motor Vehicle Deputy performs specialized regulatory, administrative, financial, and customer-facing work processing motor vehicle title and registration transactions for the Chaffee County Clerk & Recorder's Office, ensuring each transaction complies with Colorado statutes (including Title 42, C.R.S.), Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) rules, and County procedures. Requires proficiency in cash handling, receipting, financial accuracy, attention to detail, data entry, and recordkeeping;
courteous customer service to members of the public; a high school diploma or equivalent; and a valid motor vehicle driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
This is a full time, non-exempt position, located in Salida, with an hourly wage range of $22.00 to $27.00, DOQ.
