Our client seeks a Business Continuity Analyst to modernize Business Continuity and Operational Resilience. The role will leverage existing continuity plans, recovery documentation, vendor data, policies, and operational knowledge to apply AI-enabled analysis that identifies vulnerabilities, evaluates risk scenarios, and develops actionable recovery strategies. This position will create dynamic, intelligence-driven continuity programs that provide executive visibility into operational dependencies, business risks, and resilience gaps, enabling informed decision-making during disruptions.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $65.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance enterprise Business Continuity plans and recovery strategies.
- Assess critical business functions, processes, systems, and operational dependencies.
- Conduct Business Impact Analyses and continuity risk assessments.
- Ensure continuity plans remain current, actionable, and aligned to business objectives.
- Leverage AI tools and organizational data to identify vulnerabilities, single points of failure, operational risks, recovery gaps, and third-party dependencies.
- Transform continuity data, templates, and policies into actionable insights.
- Use AI-assisted analysis to evaluate disruption scenarios and remediation approaches.
- Lead continuity planning exercises and tabletop simulations.
- Evaluate scenarios including payroll outages, HR platform failures, cybersecurity incidents, vendor disruptions, infrastructure outages, and workforce disruptions.
- Design recovery playbooks with practical response actions and decision frameworks.
- Develop executive-ready reporting and dashboards that communicate resilience risks, dependencies, readiness, and remediation priorities.
- Present complex continuity findings clearly and provide actionable recommendations and strategic roadmaps.
- Identify critical operational and technology dependencies and evaluate recovery capabilities across business units and vendors.
- Prioritize remediation based on business impact and risk exposure and create improvement plans with measurable milestones.
- Drive modernization through automation, AI, and process enhancements and benchmark against industry standards.
- Challenge assumptions and identify innovative approaches to resilience planning.
- 5+ years in Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Risk Management, Disaster Recovery, or Enterprise Governance.
- Knowledge of Business Impact Analysis methodologies.
- Experience creating continuity plans, recovery procedures, and resilience frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred:
Experience using AI tools for risk analysis, planning, or operational assessments. - Preferred:
Familiarity with ISO 22301, NIST Business Continuity frameworks, and Operational Resilience standards. - Preferred:
Experience supporting large, complex enterprise environments. - Preferred certifications: CBCP, MBCP, CRISC, PMP.
- Success profile: curious, clear communicator, AI-first mindset with sound judgment, able to influence executives through data, outcome focused, resilience oriented.
