Kids Klub Site Assistant Canon Area Recreation and Park District

Overview

Kids Klub is hiring a Site Assistant. This is a part-time, seasonal position. Kids Klub is open from 6:45 am to 8:00 am and 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm on school days, 6:45 am to 6:00 pm on no school Fridays and Monday through Friday during the summer from 6:45 am-6:00 pm. Hours vary; there is a possibility of 20-30 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week in the summer.

• Work with and care for children ages 5-12. Ensure the safety of the children, while also having fun.
• Responsible for snack time, arts and crafts, play time, and games.
• Accompany children on field trip Fridays.
• Must love working with children.

• Must be 18 years of age with demonstrated maturity of judgement, administrative ability, and the skill to exercise appropriate supervision and direction to school-age children in an unstructured setting.
• Background check and fingerprint check is required.
• Must be willing to complete mandatory paid training of 40-65 hours, which can be a combination of online and  training fees are paid by the District.
