Cherry Hills Country Club is hiring kidzone counselors for the school year.
Kid Zone counselors are responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for kids while they are checked into Kid Zone. Counselors must be knowledgeable about activities, policies, and procedures, and have the ability to effectively manage groups of children.
Responsibilities- Supervise kids throughout the evening and ensure they are participating in activities safely.
- Enforce rules and regulations, and encourage positive behavior.
- Lead and monitor various activities, such as recreational sports, arts and crafts, and more.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Kids and their parents.
- Assist in providing and monitoring meals and snacks for kids.
- Assist in resolving conflicts between kids.
- Provide support and guidance to kids.
- Assist with daily set-up and clean-up.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a camp or organized setting
- Ability to work with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain energetic and enthusiastic throughout the day
- Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and effective manner
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification required
This is a seasonal position offered at $19 per hour with a variable schedule of evenings and weekends.
- Sick pay up to 48 hours a year - accrued based on hours worked
